New Year's Eve

This NYE I'm going to Sonic Youth's party. You should come, too.

News: O Genesis

As some of you may have deduced from a few online posts and pictures that have been cropping up recently, over the last couple of days I've had the privilege of working with The Charlatans' Tim Burgess on a record to be released next year. Tim is a great producer and a generally positive presence in the studio, the last few days spent in the North have been a great end to the year for me.

We've been working on a few songs and are all very excited about the results.

Plenty more fun stuff to follow, promise.

Oh, I realise the blog updates have been sporadic too; no ready access to a computer just now. I'll try for an update a week to keep you all in the loop.

Merry Christmas and everything.

Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson RIP

I was fortunate enough to meet Peter Christopherson and the rest of Throbbing Gristle shortly after they played what has proved to be the last ever Throbbing Gristle performance. It was a shock to learn that he has died; The Quietus has done a much better job of eulogising him than I think I can, you can read it here.

New Miss Cosmos

It's been too long since I last posted, but what better way to return to the blog than with news of very good new music? My favourite band in the world MISS COSMOS have some new songs on their MySpace and they're great.

I also conducted an interview with them for Construction House about a year ago, you can read it here
